PDF to Word Converter is a simple piece of software that converts Adobe's PDF files to Microsoft Word files; it essentially converts PDF files into an editable format.

In the shady world of proprietary format conversions, it can be very difficult to find an option that is both free and actually useful. Fortunately, PDF to Word Converter is completely free to use, and there is no cap on the number of files that you can convert with the free license. It has a relatively modern interface.

Users can drag and drop or use a file selection dialog to choose the PDF files they would like to convert to Word files. They can select the output format, as well. It supports .doc files, which are used in Word 2003 and 2007, as well as .docx files, which are used in the current version of Office and likely will be the standard format for years to come.

Of course, this tool will not remove passwords from protected PDF files. It also has some notable inaccuracies when converting among the formats. Users demanding a more precise conversion may opt to purchase the Acrobat suite, but this costs a fair amount of money and is unnecessary for most people.

Finally, PDF to Word Converter is a sharp program. It does have its limitations: its output can be imprecise and it can't convert some password protected PDF files and encrypted ones, but with standard files and uses, it works out just fine.
